Thank you to all those who joined us for our first lightsaber show in the Lower Mainlands. It was a great turn out at Running Track at the Holy Cross High School in Surrey.

Kyle Timmons, co-owner of ALKY Solutions and President of Vancouver Lightsaber Club, and his two daughters brought the A game with 11 lightsabers to display. As they were setting up, people around started gathering to see the lightsabers.

The evening started with a little education on the differences between the lightsabers (e.g. RGB vs Neopixel). Then everyone was able to handle and get a feel for how the different lightsabers feel and work. Adults and kids alike were playing and having a great time.

Next was a quick class on the famous Obi Ani spin. Kyle’s daughters are pros at this and were able to show some of the adults how to do it. By the end of the evening, everyone was able to start doing the iconic spin.

If you would like to learn how to perfect the Obi Ani spin, you can contact Kyle Timmons (aka The Unreal Skywalker) for private local lessons by clicking here.
